In 2014 the war in Afghanistan should be over, and the war in Syria should have commenced. Same old shit, but in different uniforms. Some bright-eyed presidential candidate in 2017 will state the end of the Syrian war is a priority - the troops must be brought home by 2022.

The United States has to have a war with somebody to utilise the trillions of dollars expended and tied up in the armanents industry, and the millions of people employed in that industry.
